Why You Need Collet Chucks

Do you know about hydraulic chucks? Have you heard of them before?

Today we will explain the common faults of hydraulic chucks and how to use and maintain them normally?

The following is a detailed introduction to the use and maintenance of hydraulic chucks and the advantages of using chucks.

Maintenance of hydraulic chuck

During the use of hydraulic chuck, we may encounter some use failures,

we don't need to panic. After years of use experience, we have sorted out the corresponding solutions, which roughly include the following.

1. The chuck does not clamp the workpiece tightly. The main reasons are insufficient stroke of the jaws, insufficient clamping force of the chuck,

different arc diameter of the soft jaws and workpiece diameter, excessive cutting force, insufficient lubricating oil on the sliding surface of the slide,

and too high speed. The solution is to re-clamp the workpiece so that the jaws are located at the midpoint of the stroke when clamping,

check whether the set oil pressure meets the requirements, and re-match the soft jaws so that the clamping arc diameter is consistent with the workpiece diameter.

2. Insufficient lubricating oil and too high speed. The solution is to re-clamp the workpiece so that the jaws are located at the midpoint of the stroke when clamping,

check whether the set oil pressure meets the requirements, re-match the soft jaws so that the clamping arc diameter is consistent with the workpiece diameter,

readjust the cutting parameters, re-lubricate each part and run it dry several times, and reduce the speed to within the standard allowable range.

3. Poor precision. The main reasons are that the outer circle of the chuck runs out too much, the slide or the jaw comb tooth surface contacts poorly,

the soft jaws are not well matched, the soft jaws are too high, resulting in clamping deformation, excessive clamping force, workpiece deformation,

and mixed installation of different pairs of hard jaws. The solution requires reinstallation, correction of the outer circle and end face runout of the chuck,

removal of the jaws, cleaning and locking the screw chuck, common faults of hydraulic chucks,

re-matching of soft jaws and paying attention to the position of the forming ring, the size of the oil pressure and the surface roughness of the clamping arc.

When we use the product, we must also perform certain maintenance on the product in order to improve the performance of the product.

Machine tools rely on lubrication systems, so many machine tools share hydraulic and lubrication systems. Therefore,

it is necessary to consider meeting the lubrication requirements of each lubrication point while ensuring the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

Under the premise of considering the operating cost, try to use lubricating oil (grease) with high viscosity index, good anti-wear and anti-oxidation properties.

Therefore, whether it is automated processing, semi-automated processing,

traditional lathe modification automation, special machine assembly and other applications, hydraulic chucks are the customers' first choice.
